This walkthrough outlines the process that is needed
to get your computer, using Windows 95/98, connected
to the Internet using a regular dial-up modem.
a) Double-click My Computer.
b) Double-click Dial-up Networking.
c) Information about what Dial-up Networking is used for Click Next.
d) If not prompted, double-click the Make New Connection icon.
e) You will be prompted to "Type
a Name for the computer you are dialing",
type in Huatone Internet.This
will be the name of the connection that you are
creating.
f) Ensure your dialup modem is displayed in the Select a Modem drop down list.

g) Click Next.
h) You will then be prompted to "Type
the phone number for the computer you want to
call", type your local access number in the
field provided. If you do not know your local
access number click
here

i) Click Next.
j)Click the Finish button.

k) Double-click
the new icon called Huatone Internet,
this will open the Connect To... window.
Enter your username and password. Your username
is the first part of your e-mail address preceding
the @ symbol for example, username@huatone.net.
l) Click the Connect button.

How to set up a Dial-up Internet Connection for Windows XP
Step 1: Open the
Control Panel
a) Click on the Start menu.
b) Click on Control Panel.
c) Click Network and Internet Connections then click Network Connections.
Step 2: Create a new connection
a) From the Network
Connections window, click Create
a New Connection from
the upper, left corner of the
screen.
b) Click Next.
c) Click Connect
to the Internet, Click
Next.

d) Choose Set
up my connection manually. Click Next.

e) Choose Connect
using a dial-up modem. Click Next.

f) Type Huatone
Internet as the ISP Name, click
Next.

g)Type your local
access number.

h) Enter, in lowercase, your
username and password.Your username is the first
part of your e-mail address preceding the @ symbol.
For example, username@huatone.net.

i) Place a check mark
in Add a shortcut to this connection
to my desktop.
j) Click Finish.This
will return you to the Network Connections
window.
Step 3: Connect to the Internet
a) Double-click your new Huatone
Internet icon.
b) When you're ready to connect
to the Internet, Click Dial.
